Ida B. Wells Barnett was a women's rights and civil rights activist. Wells dedicated her career to combating prejudice and violence, and advocating for African-American equality—especially for women. Wells was outspoken regarding her beliefs as a Black female activist and faced regular public disapproval, sometimes from other leaders within the civil rights movement. She worked in the Shelby County school system and attended Fisk University.
The notebook has a letterpress printed cover, printed in brick red ink on light "Memo Orange" (French Paper) 100# recycled paper. It has a sewn stitched binding, opens flat, and measures approximately 4" x 6.375", with 56 blank, recycled pages inside.
