Horse Girl zine

HORSE GIRL, a self published zine, written, illustrated and designed by Sarah Anderson Walsh. It contains 28 pages of horse centered childhood memories, fun fashion, & 80’s nostalgia printed with fluorescent pink and blue risograph ink by a phenomenal local print house called Oddities Prints.

This zine is about redefining the term “horse girl” and about holding on to the things you loved when you are a kid, because they preserve the most playful and imaginative parts of you. My family couldn’t afford riding lessons so I didn’t grow up with horses. Drawing them and daydreaming about them empowered me and helped me escape the chaos of my home life.
